The Indiana Soccer Camp is built to suit players of all levels. Many collegiate camps around the country are labeled “Elite,” “Recreational,” “Advanced,” or “ID” at the various age groups. Camp sessions are often marketed with different names to attract the numbers of players appropriate for facilities and staff. Indiana Soccer Camp is fortunate to have a long standing tradition, many fields and facilities available, and a strong staff of coaches, allowing acceptance of 500-600 player registrations per week.

The first couple of camp training sessions are spent grouping and evaluating players in order to ensure a productive experience at the appropriate level for each player. Some players need more fundamental work and some are not aware of their high skill level until they start playing with better players. The “diamond in the rough” is often discovered at camp.

Our first objective is to develop every player and guide them to their next level of soccer. Camp is a significant investment for each family and we strive to make the most of each individual player. It is an opportunity for a player to receive fresh input from experienced coaches and new players from around the country. Each age group is comprised of 56 to 112 players depending on the number of teams, with a player to staff ratio of no more than 10:1 for field players and 8:1 for goalkeepers. The camp coaching staff is selected with consideration of not only their coaching profile, but also their ability and desire to connect with and develop a player’s game in just a few days. We offer the best youth coaches in the region for our younger age divisions and Collegiate Division I, II, and III coaches for our older age divisions in order to expose players to all of the options available to them as they look toward a potential collegiate soccer career.

Camp curriculum varies among the age groups and skill levels. Individual skills are addressed in morning sessions with small-sided and tactical activities making up afternoon sessions. All daytime activities are applied to the evening game/match settings. Players should arrive at camp in good physical condition for three training sessions per day.

Indiana Soccer Camp takes pride in ensuring that the goalkeeper is not “the forgotten player.” Goalkeepers are trained in their own specific groups during morning sessions and then integrated into the activities as each day progresses. We provide goalkeeping-specific training by specialized coaches throughout each day with no more than two goalkeepers per team.

Please use this schedule as a guideline for the best times to try to reach your camper during the day. We discourage campers from having their phones with them during camp activities and meals, as it prevents them from interacting with other campers and making new friends!

  • Players are roomed with roommates of similar age at camp. Please use your son’s true age (not their “soccer age of U_”) when registering for camp.
  • Specific roommate requests and/or near requests are honored. During online registration, please be specific with team names, i.e. Cutters U13 Red ’02 and names of friends. If players have different ages, please indicate. This is a huge help for our room assignments.
  • If roommate request is not known at time of online registration, please send an email to info@indianasoccercamp.com with subject line “Roommate Request” when a decision is made. Please submit 2 weeks prior to the start of camp.
  • Two to four players per room. Briscoe has varying room configurations. Single rooms may be requested and granted if available.
  • Odd number of players attending together: Briscoe has 2, 3, and 4 player rooms. Configurations will be dependent upon rooms available and sizes of groups attending together.
  • Players are roomed on floors by age. Young players will interact with older players at meals and in passing, and also observe them in the “All-Star game” as a reference for “Look how far you can go at Indiana Soccer Camp!” but they are not housed on the same floors or in rooms together. All rooms in Briscoe have their own bathrooms within the room.
  • Players of different ages may attend camp together, however, the older player will be placed on the younger player’s floor. We do often end up with a “brothers” and “mixed ages” floor – please email us if you have concerns related to age discrepancy.
  • Teammates/Friends/Roommates of different but similar ages: Please register using your player’s TRUE age and birthday, and note in “near roommates” field (example: Ben is 12. Roommate John Smith, age 13, teammates are all Cutters U13 Red ‘05). The more specific the information, the better.
  • Players attending camp alone will be placed with another camper attending alone whenever possible, and near other players who are also looking to make friends (rather than a player attending alone being place amongst a group of teammates).
  • It is recommended that a young player (age 11) attend camp for the first time with a friend for a roommate. We do everything we can to encourage players attending in ones or twos to meet new friends at camp, but the adjustment to overnight camp is much easier with a friend from home.
  • The Indiana Soccer Camp takes pride in providing a beneficial and fun experience for players, both on and off the field. We are happy to put forth the effort required to room friends near each other. However, players should understand that this privilege also comes with the responsibility of behaving appropriately as individuals and groups. Please discuss this with your players prior to arrival at camp.
  • Campers reside at the Briscoe Quad Dormitory, 1225 North Fee Lane, Bloomington, IN on the campus of Indiana University.
  • Briscoe is recently renovated and is air-conditioned!
  • Room and Meal Keycards: Room keycards are distributed at camp check-in with lanyards. Dorm room and floors are unlocked with this keycard (which is also the meal card).
  • Lost room/meal keycards: When a player loses their keycard, we typically wait through one training session and meal prior to assuming a keycard is truly lost. During that time, players may eat with a borrowed extra meal card. They should speak to staff as soon as they know their card is missing so that we can be sure they do not miss a meal. Keycards can be replaced for a minimal fee ($20, subject to change slightly) once they are determined truly missing.
  • Staff Supervision: Camp coaches reside on each floor, typically 2 coaches per floor. Coaches are present/reside on floors at night and overnight but may not always be present between daytime sessions, as they may be at meals or in a meeting with coaches from their Divisions. Camp staff managers sweep the floors consistently to supervise players on floors. A Health Professional is on-call in the dorms 24 hours per day. Our full Health Professional staff is available before and after training sessions (and always at the fields). All staff complete government background checks, and are well-known by the Indiana Soccer Camp Staff.
  • Dorm Security: Doors to buildings may only be unlocked with key cards of players assigned to that building. Floor entry doors require a key card from that floor to be unlocked. The Indiana Soccer Camp hires an Indiana University Police Officer to patrol and roam outside of the buildings overnight.
  • Bathrooms and showers: Each room has its own bathroom and shower. Flip flops/slides are recommended for showers.
  • Individual refrigerators and microwaves: Refrigerators and microwaves are not permitted in dorm rooms during sports camps due to University regulations.
  • Linens are NOT provided: Each player should bring a set of Twin XL sheets (or two flat twin sheets), a pillow, a pillow case, blanket, and at least 2 bath towels. Players traveling by plane may purchase a “Bedding Bundle” at the time of registration to reduce luggage quantity.
  • Coolers: Coolers are permitted in dorm rooms but definitely not necessary, and typically create a mess. Gatorade and water are provided at the fields at all times. Players may fill their water bottles when leaving the field so that they have something to drink in their room. If you plan on sending drinks with your player, please send water to reduce the potential damage to rooms.
  • Snacks and foods from home: Snacks and food from home are permitted, but again not necessary, as players are served three meals (and large selection of salad, fruit, cereal, etc.) a day and our Camp Store concession prices are kept very low. More food brought into rooms typically results in more to clean up.
  • Pizza Orders: Pizza and breadstick orders can be placed at the Camp Store throughout the day until the last training session. All orders all placed at one time by camp staff, and pizzas are delivered following the All-Camp Evening Activity. Players may not order individual delivery to their rooms. Pizzas are 8 slices and $13, so they are easily split between 2 or 4 players. Gluten free crust and cheese-free pizza available upon request.
  • The first meal is dinner on Thursday. The last meal is breakfast on Sunday.
  • Camp Menu: The camp menu will be sent by email in the weeks prior to camp for review with your player. It is helpful for players with allergies, restrictions, or “picky” eaters to go over the menu prior to leaving home so that they know which foods they will enjoy. We recommend highlighting the menu for young players with special dietary needs so that they feel comfortable walking into each meal.
  • Special dietary needs: please click here.
  • Cell phones are permitted in player’s rooms but not during camp activities, training sessions, meals, or while walking to and from training sessions. It is recommended that all electronics and phones remain in the dorm rooms during camp activities, and dorm rooms are locked by players.
  • Cell phones are not recommended for players ages 11, 12 and 13. We have observed that homesickness increases with constant contact with parents and texting creates frequent miscommunication due to lack of context. It is difficult to engage a homesick child with other players and staff if they are consistently calling home. With three training sessions per day, most players cannot wait to sleep, but an iPod/headphones works best for music, etc.
  • Please do not send your son with any type of portable speakers.
  • Camp is not responsible for players’ electronic devices or monitoring content accessed online.
  • Please educate your son on not using a device with a camera in areas where players may be changing clothes, restrooms, etc. and never using a device at the expense of someone else.
  • If your player is injured or having trouble at camp, please encourage them to go to a staff member as soon as possible, and please contact us. Our staff is much more able to be effective if your player is engaged with us.
  • Camper Mail/Care Packages: Please mail to –
    • Indiana Soccer Camp, Camper’s Full Name, Briscoe Center Desk, 1225 N. Fee Lane, Bloomington, IN 47406
  • To reach Camp Administration:
    • Call or text to (844) IUCAMP1 or (844) 482-2671
    • Briscoe Center Desk is (812) 855-5313 (please call the camp prior to calling Briscoe Center Desk staff)
  • WIFI will be available for campers to within the dorm area.
